The City of Maple Valley is proud to host the Maple Valley Independence Day Celebration presented by Edward Jones!

This family-friendly event will take place on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at Lake Wilderness Park and features live music, picnic games, pie baking contest, food trucks,  and fireworks!  Music during the fireworks show will be performed by the Maple Valley Youth Symphony with a special performance of the National Anthem by the Maple Valley Jr. Idol Winner.

Fireworks Viewing Tips
The best viewing area for the fireworks show is in the Beach Lawn area. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Part of the Beach Lawn will be reserved for community games.

Food & Drink
Food trucks will be available for this special event as well as the beach concession stand, so come hungry! Cash and major credit cards accepted.

Pie Baking Contest
All bakers (adults, seniors and youth) are invited to enter their favorite fruit pie in our annual Homemade Pie Baking Contest, pre-registration is required.
