Dreamfest is a weekend of both community and Cary-sponsored events celebrating the legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Over the holiday weekend, we offer a variety of programs that delve into themes of equity, representation, and poverty, alongside opportunities for community service. We invite you to participate in these meaningful events.
Schedule of Events:
MLK Day of Service at Good Hope Farm
We invite volunteers to join us for our 'MLK Dreamfest' service opportunities in partnership with Spruce and Good Hope Farm. This is a fantastic chance to give back to the community while honoring Dr. King's legacy of service and compassion. Whether you're looking to lend a hand in the garden or engage in other meaningful activities, your support will make a difference. Come be a part of this inspiring event! 10:00 am - 12:00 pm: MLK 5K Walk For Hope
Mt. Zion Church is thrilled to partner with the Town of Cary for the MLK 2025 Dreamfest weekend, honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through acts of service. We invite the Mt. Zion family, friends, and community to lace up their tennis shoes and join us for a charity walk to give back in the spirit of Dr. King's vision of service and unity. Bring non-perishable foods to support the Dorcas Food Pantry, and together, we can help those in need while embodying Dr. King's words: "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" Let's make a difference, one step at a time! Interested in volunteering with the walk? Contact [email protected]
