All Day: Sakura Matsuri – Japanese Street Festival
The Sakura Matsuri – Japanese Street Festival is the largest celebration of Japanese culture in the United States. The festival features over 24 hours of Japanese cultural performances on four stages (including J-Pop, traditional Japanese music, and martial arts) and a diverse range of cultural exhibitors, artisan and commercial vendors of traditional and contemporary Japanese goods, and Japanese and other food and beverages. The festival also spotlights travel and tourism opportunities and innovative Japanese technologies.
9:00 am - 1:00 pm: Spring into Fitness at Alethia Tanner Park with NoMa BID this Cherry Blossom Season!
Join us on Sunday, April 13, for a fun-filled day of free outdoor fitness and wellness activities, set against the vibrant backdrop of Cherry Blossom season. Whether you are a fitness enthusiast or just looking to enjoy the outdoors, there is something for everyone!
Kick off the day by meeting us at the park for a variety of mini fitness classes and activities. Participate in two all-paces runs through the scenic NoMa neighborhood, get your bike inspected at a safety check station, and explore local and regional brands in the fitness and wellness space.
While you're there, be sure to enter our raffles for a chance to win exciting prizes from local and regional brands! Plus, do not miss some delicious post-workout treats - a food truck will be on-site offering tasty options to refuel and refresh!
