National Night Out

Stonecrest City Hall
3120 Stonecrest Boulevard

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, neighborhoods throughout Dekalb County Georgia, are invited to join forces with Dekalb County Police, for the “42nd Annual National Night Out” (NNO).

This is a crime and drug prevention event. National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), and co-sponsored locally by DeKalb County Police Crime Awareness and Prevention Units. The event involves four Dekalb Precincts and communities from across the county celebrating America's night out against crime. In all, over 38.5 million people across the nation will participate within their communities.

Stonecrest neighbors are invited to stop by City Hall from 6-8:30 p.m. to connect and say thanks to our first responders for showing up for us each and every day.

Stonecrest National Night Out is designated to:

- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness

- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts

- Expand knowledge of and engagement with outreach programs for sustainable support solutions

- Strengthen neighborhood camaraderie and enhance law enforcement relationships

- Send a message to criminals letting them know that Stonecrest neighborhoods are organized, and taking steps to maintain the safety of our neighborhoods

From 6-9 p.m., neighborhoods are welcome to use your imagination, be creative, and just have some type of gathering as a show of support. Neighborhoods throughout will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, swim parties, visits from police, flashlight walks, contests, and youth activities. You will be getting visits from Police Officers of the Precinct where you live. When your plans are complete, kindly let your Police Precinct Education Specialist know what your plans are!

Our first responders give each and every day to our community to keep us out of harm’s way and to be there to assist in those emergency moments when we need them. Public safety is a team effort and requires more than just our first response teams to provide for our community. We invite outreach organizations to join our event and share your work and opportunities for you to support them.

Together we are making communities safer, more caring places to live and work. Stonecrest, “Making the Difference!”
