The New Year’s Eve Glow Run 5K presented by Generations Crossing is the hottest way to ring in the new year with friends and family in Harrisonburg, VA. Enjoy a 5K course at Heritage Oaks Golf Course along the beautiful cart paths as the sun sets on 2024. Even better, all participants receive glow paraphernalia to help light up the course (participants are also asked to bring your own headlamps & flashlights).

Noise makers will be given to all kids to feel the thrill at the Kids Countdown Run at 4:30pm. They won’t want to miss the half-mile roundtrip with disco ball and countdown to the new year at the halfway point.

Preregistration Prices:

- Adult 5K: $25 early bird. $30 regular.
- Kids Countdown Run: $15 early bird. $20 regular.

Important Dates

- December 19: deadline to be guaranteed a shirt. After this date, remaining shirts will be given on a first come first served basis, based on time of registration.
- December 30: last day to register online.
- December 31 from 12pm-4pm: packet pickup at Heritage Oaks Golf Course. Walk-up registration ($10 price increase) will be available.

The Cause: Funds from the NYE Glow Run 5K benefit Generations Crossing, which provides adult and child day care for the Harrisonburg and Rockingham County community. Unique to their intergenerational program is the opportunity for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children to interact with adult participants. Other Cool Info: At pre-race packet pickup, you’ll receive glow sticks, glow necklaces and other glowing paraphernalia so you can be decked out and fully glowing on race day. You’ll want to wear your brightest clothes and bring headlamps or flashlights to light your path. We’ll also add some lights and music along the course to keep you motivated!

Stroller and Pet Policy: Strollers are welcome, but leashed pets are not allowed at this event.

Awards: The event is chip timed and awards will be given to first place male & female finishers in each of the following age groups:
