Shotokan Karate of America’s Nisei Week Karate Exhibition and Tournament began in 1957 when Mr. Tsutomu Ohshima gave the first official demonstration of karate to the American public. Now the oldest karate demonstration in the United States, come witness history as fighters and participants from around the world converge in Little Tokyo to compete and showcase this traditional martial art.

6:30pm - Coronation + Awards Celebration
The 2025 Nisei Week honorees will be recognized and the Nisei Week Queen and Court will be officially crowned in an exciting program at the Aratani Theatre!
