The first Tokeland parade was in 1976 when neighbors came together to celebrate our country's independence. The family picnic and field games, like the famous sack race and water balloon toss, were added a few years later making the Saturday closest to the 4th of July holiday a date to remember.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the Tokeland parade.
- Plan to be at the Tokeland Marina no later than 10:30 AM to line up
- Tokeland Road will be closed to car traffic at 10:45 AM
- At the marina, entries will receive their entry number for the judges and participation ribbon
- If you're watching the parade, follow the signs to park in the extended lots; parking at the Tokeland hotel is reserved for guests and handicap parking only.
Judges are in place to award the trophies given to participants in the following categories: - Best animal entry
- Best children entry
- Best car
- Best float
- Judges choice
- Grand prize
