PAWS was established in 1974, its mission to provide care for homeless dogs and cats until they can be placed in permanent, responsible homes, while promoting humane values in our community through outreach and educational programs.
Paces for PAWS is a dog friendly event so please bring your best canine companions to participate in the festivities (don't forget leashes, please)! With this event, we hope to provide an opportunity for people of all ages in our community to help homeless and abandoned animals receive the medical care, shelter, and companionship they need until their forever homes are found.
This event is one of four events in the RunBelfast 2024 race series held in Belfast, Maine (more at https://www.runbelfast.org). The series includes: Paces for PAWS 5K - Jun 15; Rotary Bug Run 5K - August 17; Center for Wildlife Studies Run Wild! 5K/10K – Sep 14; and Lions Ghostly Gallop - October 26.
