Join us for the Paul Elmstrand Memorial 5K Run/Walk, a community event dedicated to honoring Paul's memory. Paul was serving as a police officer with Burnsville PD on February 18, 2024, when he, along with fellow officer Matthew Ruge and Firefighter/Paramedic Adam Finseth, tragically lost their lives.
The race coincides with many CIHS Bluejacket All School Reunion activities but is a public event - anyone who would like to participate are welcome! Whether you're an avid runner or someone who prefers to stroll, all fitness levels are welcome to participate in this event.
Paul graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 2015 and was a part of the school's cross-country team. Family and friends felt a great way to celebrate Paul's life would be through an event incorporating an activity he loved. Proceeds from the event will support a scholarship in Paul's memory started by the Elmstrand family and the Invisible Wounds Project, ensuring that Paul’s legacy continues to live on and help others
