Memorial Park E River Street

The 47th annual Pow Wow Days 5K/10K/1 Mile Fun Runs take place in conjunction with the annual Lion's Day Festivities in Tomahawk. All races depart from Veterans Memorial Park on the beautiful Wisconsin River. The 10K is run on a scenic route along the river towards the turn around point atop beautiful Kings Hill just past the historic Kings Dam. The 5K looped course is basically flat and follows the 10K route for approximately 2400 meters then cuts across the edge of the Tomahawk High School property and back to School Road before running into Somo Ave then back to Memorial Park on 6th St. The Mile Fun Run is also a looped course for all ages, however awards are only for those 12 and under. 5K/10K races start at 8:30 sharp and the Mile Fun Run begins around 9:30, after the majority of the 5K participants have finished. Pre-registrant bib and t-shirt pick-up for all races starts at 7:00 a.m. under the gazebo in the park. Race day registration station closes at 8:00 a.m. with no t-shirt for same fee as pre-registrants. So, save $$, get a t-shirt and be eligible for prize drawings by registering early, prior to July 1. Please note that T-Shirts are only garunteed with registrations before 6/19/2024.  Early registrants receive special discounts! The last few years we have had between 600-700 participants! Once again we will have a July 4 Independence Day "Most Patriotic" costume contest with prizes for the runners with the top three outfits.  Again in 2024-->ALL 10K FINISHERS will receive a finishers 10K medal!
