The Chile and Frijoles Festival was created to promote Pueblo’s rich agriculture and encourage our community, and region, to buy local fresh products at any of the numerous farm stands and specialty shops available during the festival and year-round.
The event features live entertainment, street vendors, cooking competitions, and chilies, chilies, chilies! Held downtown along Union Avenue, the festival draws Pueblo residents as well as people from across the state and around the nation.

Balloon Fest
To celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Pueblo Chile & Frijole Festival, 25 big hot air balloons will fill Pueblo’s skies! All of the events are free and open to the public! Join us in the early mornings at the Langoni Soccer fields at 24th & High Street as we inflate and launch 25 balloons to gently float over Pueblo. Evenings will see a few balloons inflate and glow on the riverwalk park just outside the main gate of the Chile Fest.

Saturday morning
6:45 am - Soccer Fields at Langoni Park Balloons inflate and launch from the soccer fields at Langoni Fields at 24th & High. Remember the weekend with t-shirts and swag! Food & coffee trucks will warm you up!
Saturday evening
7:30 pm - Balloon Glow on the Riverwalk The Xfinity Balloon and others will inflate and glow on the grassy knolls at South Main & Alan Hamel Ave. Pull up a chair and watch the balloons light up the night!
All of the flights are subject to weather and wind conditions. We need calm weather without storms & wind to fly. All balloon events are free and open to the public. Schedule subject to change.
