Celebrating our 13th year!
Artisans:
Cappie Geis
I am inspired by life. I paint with acrylics and mixed media. My art may begin with just “putting paint on the canvas” or a trip, walk or a class that has inspired.
Animals, figures and landscapes are some of my favorite subjects. I also love the abstract techniques and will always start a new piece with an interesting background, or I may add some mixed media and will sometimes include vintage sheet music or tissue or napkins I have saved from an event or bought because of the graphics. I also love teaching art to all ages!
Jane Brown Art
Jane has been painting for at least 25 years and produces products in many different mediums. For the last six years she has been focusing on watercolor, as a better way of expressing herself. Jane will be sharing works in oil and cold wax, watercolor and ink and watercolor landscape at the festival.

Rustic Modernity
By: Clay Remington
Clay Remington’s work begins where the cooper’s ends. “I start with slivers of once great trees which have been rendered, formed, and seemingly served their purpose. Once the vintner and time have taken their turns, I reawaken the wood with bold washes of color and finish. I don’t see discarded staves as diminished. Instead, I envision and bring forth character and texture that only aging or use, even neglect can execute. I’m certainly trying to make something pleasing. Beauty is evolutionary in creation as the wood frustrates and reveals. But in a deeper way, my work can illustrate that there is a wisdom in the wood. That through victories and struggles; the shifting expectations, abilities, and purposes we all come to know, there’s both value in our experience and renewal we can find within ourselves and others.”
Terry Truett
Painting with vibrant colors is my signature. Raised in the tropics, I am inspired by Earth’s gifts. In addition to painting canvases, I use natural elements. Palm-boot paintings are in high demand as are wine-cork creations, at both art shows and through commissions. I began painting living on the Gulf Coast where I participated in many art festivals/shows. Now, having spent three years living in Ramona, I am renewed by the inspirational vistas of our area.
