“Our annual event keeps getting bigger and better with new activities. We want to invite everyone to visit Loveland to celebrate the holiday,” said Mayor Kathy Bailey.

The event will be held Thursday, July 4, in Historic Downtown Loveland with many of the activities taking place in Nisbet Park. Classic fun is planned from 4- 10 p.m.:

A family fun zone will occur 4-6:30 p.m. in Nisbet Park. Check out lawn games, dancing, and robots!

A host of food trucks will be on site from 4-10 p.m. Try barbeque, Asian fusion, pizza, and more. There will be vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Visitors also can enjoy the city’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA).

NEW - Try your luck at Split-the-Pot from 4-9 p.m. Tickets will be sold near Jackson Street Market.

NEW - Buy a Buddy Badge! This is a unique twist on a scavenger hunt. The city will sell “Buddy Badges” for $1 from 4-9 p.m. Each badge is numbered. Search the crowd to find the person who has your matching number. When you find your buddy, go as a pair to the gazebo in Nisbet Park to collect a matching set of prizes.

Play a round of bingo. Sessions will be held at 4 and 5 p.m. at City Hall. All proceeds support the Ben Morrison Memorial Foundation.

NEW - Don’t miss Game Show Battle Rooms at 5 and 8:30 p.m. at Fountain Green at Fleet Feet. This will be an immersive mix of your favorite gameshows presented by a host. Step up to the challenge and play, or enjoy watching from the crowd!

At 6:15 p.m., a Kids’ Bike Contest will take place at Loveland Elementary School prior to the parade. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters, tricycles, etc.

Please note there is sidewalk construction at the Paxton Bridge along West Loveland Avenue. Due to this, attendees will not be permitted on the bridge to watch the parade.

When the parade ends, head over to Nisbet Park Amphitheater to enjoy the concert before the fireworks. The Trailer Park Floosies will perform from 8-10 p.m. This Cincinnati-based cover band performs songs from the 80s, 90s, and today.

At 8:30 p.m. in front of City Hall, the city will host its second annual Pie Eating Contest. No hands allowed! Contestants are asked to pre-register Here
