ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

BUFFALO TOM emerged just as the college rock of the 1980s metamorphosed into the alt-rock explosion of the ’90s. They have withstood shifts of fortune and style to become one of their generation’s enduring rock bands. Over time, the Boston trio tempered the full-throttle guitar roar that got them pegged as “Dinosaur Jr. junior” upon the release of their self-titled debut album in 1988, an evolution that happened quickly. Let Me Come Over, the 1992 album that broadened their audience in the U.S. and the U.K., was anchored by the aching ballad “Taillights Fade.” During the ’90s, Big Red Letter Day and Sleepy Eyed kept Buffalo Tom in the orbit of the alt-rock mainstream on both sides of the Atlantic. Following the 1998 release of Smitten, the band went on a hiatus that lasted nearly a decade. After the 2007 release of Three Easy Pieces, Buffalo Tom remained an active band, touring periodically and releasing such new albums as 2018’s Quiet and Peace and 2024’s Jump Rope every few years.

BELLY are one of the early beneficiaries of the acceptance of alternative rock into the mainstream, and the band that propelled cult heroine Tanya Donelly into the spotlight. Previously a member of Throwing Muses, and briefly in The Breeders, Donelly formed Belly in 1992, and the band melded sophisticated pop hooks with Donelly’s psych-influenced, guitar-based melodies. After charming critics, Belly scaled the charts when their song “Feed the Tree” became a hit single and their debut album, Star, went gold. The group’s original run was brief, with Belly disbanding in 1996, but they returned to duty with a reunion tour in 2016, followed by an album in 2018.

THE FAR OUT is a funk and soul-pop band from the north shore of Massachusetts, made up of six powerhouse musicians and lifelong friends. The “New Act of the Year” recipient at the New England Music Awards engage their audiences with lush vocals and groovy horn lines, supported by undeniable chemistry and raw star quality. You’ll often catch the group switching roles mid-show — passing guitars around, moving from lead vocals to horn section, or stealing a moment behind the keys. TFO’s goal is to include audiences in their infectious joy and spread the love of funk and soul music to younger generations. Their debut album, Greetings from The Far Out, is out now!

GAVIN MARENGI is a singer-songwriter hailing from Salisbury, Massachusetts, and a true hometown enthusiast. His deep connection to his small town roots and his formative experiences growing up shape the heartfelt narratives woven into his songs. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of genres, Gavin’s music is a captivating fusion of Americana, Classic Folk, Southern Rock, and Outlaw Country. Despite being just 17 years old, Gavin possesses an extraordinary talent that captivates audiences wherever he performs, leaving them spellbound by his impressive guitar skills and soulful, raspy voice.
