Celebrating 45 years, the Museum of Indian Culture invites you to Pennsylvania’s oldest Native American Indian festival.
Performers
This year, featured performers are Juno Award Winning singer, Crystal Shawanda, performing at 11:00 am and again at 4:00 pm. and Inca Flutist Sicanni Purizaca. performing both days at 1:30pm
Our featured dance performers include The Salina's Family from Mexico City, Traditional Aztec Dancers and Native Nations Danc-Theater.
At noon is Grand Entry. Emcee, David White Buffalo, from Rosebud Sioux Tribe, South Dakota will call the dancers to the dance arena for a daylong celebration of Native American drumming, Singing and Dancing.
Cultural Heritage Techniques and Artifact Displays
We will also offer cultural heritage demonstrations like:
Lenape Cooking,
Flute making,
Primitive Fire making,
Basketry,
Flintknapping,
Cree Tipi Display and more!
You can also try your hand at tomahawk and atlatl throwing!
?This year, the American Indian Collectors Association of the Northeast (IACANE) will host their Native American Artifact Show at our Roasting Ears of Corn Festival. This show will feature thousands of artifacts from across North America. Experienced collectors will be available to answer questions and identify your artifacts.
Kid's Activities
We didn't forget the kids, in fact our Children's Area includes activities to create Native American inspired crafts like "wampum" bracelets, Sand Art, Totem Poles. And just around the corner Pony Rides!
Gates are open to the Public 10 am - 6 pm
Grand Entrance is at 12 noon.
