It's Pi Day (3.14) or close enough - so why not combine 2 of my favorite activities into one! Introducing the Run & Cube 5K - a quirky twist on the usual 5K for all running geeks or geeky runners. Here's how it works:
When you sign in and pick up your bib number you will be given a 3x3x3 cube (similar to Rubik's Cube {tm}) that has been scrambled randomly. You can try and solve it before the race starts and/or during the race while you are running. Once you cross the finish line - if you have solved at least one side of the cube - you can present it to the timing crew and receive a bonus deduction from your race time.
Full size cubes with the race logo on them will be awarded to the fastest running cubers or cubing runners in various age groups based on their final time after any deductions for solving one or more sides of the cube.
Cost: $25
