Welcome to the 12th annual Sage Lake Firecracker 5K!
Join us at the intersection of Kenyon and Maple Roads at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 5. Also please wear your best red, white and blue to help make this annual event colorful and extra fun.
The morning will kick off with the kids' half-mile Sparkler Sprint for ages 10 and younger, starting promptly at 8:30 a.m. The sprint route will take kids down Maple Road to a turnaround station and back to finish right where they started.
The Firecracker 5K fun run will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
The race route is a loop. It will take participants up Kenyon Drive and onto Sage Lake Road before turning into the Sunset/Hawthorne neighborhood loop along the lake, then back onto Sage Lake Road, Kenyon Drive, then return to the start. Water stations are available along the route.
The Sparkler Sprint is for ages 10 and younger and has its own registration option. Participants will receive a youth tank top, race bib, and a medal. Kids also can register for the 5K and run or walk with adults.
