Psych! A Diagnostic Stand-Up Therapy Comedy Show takes you on a beautiful, hilarious journey that includes interactive therapeutic crowd work, stand-up comedy, and personal, intimate questions during a diagnostic comedian session with a licensed therapist. The audience (aka the Psych! Support) also gets a chance to ask questions.

At each show, three comedians (aka Psych! Comics) take the stage, followed by engaging sessions with licensed mental health therapist and stand-up comedian Aimee LeCours. Together, they unravel the mysteries behind the humor, exploring the age-old question: “Why are you like this?”

Our 2024 show at Caveat in New York City had over 70 engaged and interactive audience members and featured stand-up comedians seen on Comedy Central, The Tonight Show, and The New Yorker.

The Psych! Comedy Show has sold out The Den Theatre in Chicago, Breakthrough Theater in Winter Park, Florida, and Orlando Fringe’s FestN4, where it won the Patron’s Pick award. It has also debuted at Caveat Theater in NYC and was featured at the 2024 St. Nell's Comedy Festival.

One of the main goals of Psych! is to destigmatize mental illness and mental health therapy by creating a fun, safe, interactive space where comedians share both their stand-up and their mental health struggles and successes.

As a licensed therapist, Aimee LeCours curates every show so the audience participates in therapeutic comedic activities like Cognitive Restructured Heckling, Guided Meditative Jokes, or Deep Laugh/Chuckle Breathing.
