About the Event
For 35 years, Sister Cities of Greenfield has been sending delegations of students and teachers to our Sister City, Kakuda, Japan. Thanks to generous support from the city, from Hitachi Astemo, and from activities like the 5K Walk/Run, students have been able to travel to Kakuda for much less than the actual cost of airfare and lodging. Likewise, Sister Cities of Greenfield has hosted dozens of Japanese student delegations. These exchanges have enabled hundreds of individuals to personally appreciate the fact that different races and nationalities don't matter much when true friendship develop.

Mission Statement
The mission of Sister Cities of Greenfield is to enrich our community through exchanges that foster understanding, friendship, and cooperation between citizens of Greenfield and our sister city, Kakuda, Japan-Building friendships that last a lifetime.
