On Saturday, June 14 discover the Kids Corner in the center of High Park. There is so much to enjoy, from foam parties and inflatables to princess lessons and so much more. Have fun with Derby Fire & Rescue’s water activity and play catch with players from the Derby Twins! All activities in the Kids Corner are free.

Smokin’ 5k

Start Your Day with the Smokin’ 5K
Join the Derby Recreation Commission at the Smoke on the Plains BBQ Festival for our Smokin’ 5K race on Saturday, June 14, at 7:30 a.m. This USATF-certified course will start and finish in High Park and will run through the city streets of Derby. There will be awards for the overall female, overall male and 1st place age group awards.
The Smokin’ 5K is an event you won’t want to miss! So lace up your sneakers, grab your friends and get ready to smoke the competition.
