Celebrate the summer solstice with a beautiful early morning trail run in Gay City State Park with three race distances to choose from: 3 mile, 5 mile or 8 mile. The 8 Mile race is part of the 2024 Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series and the USATF-CT Mountain, Ultra and Trail (MUT) series — a competition for teams of three to run the trails with a chance to win prize money.
Race participants earn a custom designed running hat with an option to add on a custom designed short sleeve tee.
Event Schedule:
7:30 AM – 7:40 AM: All Races
*All participants must be at the start area prior to the first wave starting. Access to Gay City Park Road will close 15 minutes prior to race start.
POST RACE PARTY:
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Celebrate your amazing accomplishments together with fresh fruit and Grab & Go snacks featuring Bakery On Main granola and LesserEvil popcorn.
9:15 AM: 3 Mile & 5 Mile Award Ceremony
9:30 AM: 8 Mile Award Ceremony
