The Summer Splash 5k race is a family friendly event that also includes a kids dash. It will start and finish near a great playground, which includes a splash pad, so please stick around after the event and play for a while.
The 5k course is 3.1 miles along the Keene Road Trail, starting next to the Badger Mountain Park splash pad. The out-and-back course heads east from the park and turns around where the 12-ft wide paved trail crosses Bellerive Road. The course will be marked with chalk and cones and traffic control volunteers will be at each road crossing (Elementary St / Leslie Rd / Venus Cir) to help as crossing guards.
The Kids Splash Dash is a 1⁄2 mile fun run/walk that stays within the Badger Mountain Community Park and follows the paved loop path around the fields and splash pad. This is FREE and open to anyone 10 years old and younger.
All participants will need to sign a waiver and anyone under 18 years old will need the waiver signed by a parent.
