We invite all high school students and directors to participate in this year's exciting High School Honor Choir Festival, held on the beautiful campus of Southern Utah University.

Students will be selected by audition to rehearse and perform outstanding choral literature under the direction of Dr. Andrew Briggs, Director of Choral Activities at Southern Utah University.

Students selected for the SUU High School Honor Choir participate in two days of rehearsals and activities culminating in a concert at the end of the second day at the Thorley Recital Hall on SUU's campus in Cedar City, Utah.

Audition materials include a complete score for use during a full choir rehearsal to facilitate a collective effort in your preparation. Separate parts are available for each voice.

The registration fee is $30.00 per applicant upon acceptance.

Schedule:

9:00 Rehearsal

10:30 Master Class – Bring a song to sing if you like, or the song you prepared for SUU Vocal Audition.

11:30 Rehearsal

12:30 LUNCH (again, on your own – find a group to go with)

1:30 Rehearsal/SUU Auditions

2:30 PM BREAK – Change into performance wear

3:00 PM Concert in SUU Music Bldg, Thorley Recital Hall – will be streamed. Parents and friends invited, FREE to the public. (Google “SUU Music Webcasts”, go to “stream now”, and the program should be on the first page under “Programs”, unless there is a PDF posted of SUU Honor Choir 2025.

4:00 PM Students excused, SUU HONOR BAND concert begins at SUU Randall Jones Theater on 300 West near (south of) Center Street. Please attend!
