The Rotary Club of North Gwinnett is pleased to host the 14th Annual Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint 5k and Fun Run. The race is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and boasts tons of fun including, medals for each age group, fastest dog, most senior finisher and a Valentine themed costume contest. The Fun Run where the kiddos will earn their own shirt and finisher ribbon will be around the town green and take place between the 5k and awards ceremony . Come early and take part in DJ and mascot fun and a great pre-race warm up. After the race enjoy some hot chocolate, post-race snacks and some fun with your friends and family at the photo booth! This is a pet-friendly event, so bring along your furry friends too! Proceeds support Rotary Club of North Gwinnett scholarships and other charities.

Course Info:

This 5K is a Peachtree Qualifier! This event is chip timed. In order to encourage social distancing, runners may start any time between 9:00 am and 9:15 am.

The event will begin and end at Suwanee Town Center. The course will start on Town Center Avenue in front of City Hall, then turn right on Boston Common and follow the road down to the greenway connector. From the greenway connector the route will follow the Suwanee Creek Greenway to just past Annandale Lane where runners will u-turn at the fire hydrant. The route will follow the greenway back to the greenway connector, then up Portland, left on Suwanee Avenue and right on Charleston, finishing near City Hall.

Strollers and Dogs:

This is a family friendly event! Strollers and dogs allowed at the back of the start.

Fun Run:

For those children 8 and under registered for the Fun Run, it will start at 10:00 am at the Suwanee Town Green. Packets can be picked up at the same times as the 5k packets.

Awards:

Prizes will be awarded to 1st Place Male and Female for both Overall and Masters. Age groups for male and female: 10-under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Also will award Fastest Dog and Most Senior Finisher.

What to wear:

Wear your best Valentine's costume to participate in the costume contest.
