The Sylvan Beach Festival is one of the longest running family traditions along the Texas Gulf Coast, which is currently in its 68th year! A full day of family-friendly entertainment will take place along the shores of Sylvan Beach Park in La Porte, Texas, beginning with the annual Sylvan Beach Day Parade – a favorite among the locals! After the parade, make your way to the park for carnival rides, food vendors, live music, inflatables, arts and crafts vendor market, and so much more! As the sun goes down, get ready to enjoy various featured music artists well into the night!

Sylvan Beach Day Parade

10:00am – 11:00am

The Sylvan Beach Festival Parade is a family favorite and long-standing family tradition for many! This year’s parade will take place on April 27th, beginning at 10:00am. Make sure to line up early and get a good sideline seat!

Once the parade has ended, we encourage you to stroll on over to Sylvan Beach as the festival kicks off!

Carnival

10:00am – 9:00pm

Come for the carnival, and stay for the music! The carnival is one of the highlights of the Sylvan Beach Festival, offering fun for kids of all ages.

Carnival rides and midway games can be enjoyed by purchasing tickets at the carnival ticket booths. For maximum value, wristbands can also be purchased for non-stop fun all day!

Family Fun Zone

The Family Fun Zone is exactly what it sounds like – an entire zone filled with fun for the whole family! Enjoy a wide assortment of inflatable attractions, such as bounce houses, obstacle courses, and games. If the inflatables don’t wear the children out, see who can set the best record on the mechanical bull or rock climbing wall!

When it’s time to take a break, check out the Gator Country trailer who will be on site for animal encounters with live alligators (additional fee may apply), as well as educate the audience on crocodiles, snakes, and other reptiles such as turtles, tortoises, and lizards.

A popular additon to the Family Fun Zone has been the Gaming Trailer! Take your turn playing an assortment of video games right along the beach!

Water, Wings and Wheels

Display: 9:00am – 9:00pm
Fire Boat Shows: 12:30pm and 3:30 pm

The Water, Wings and Wheels Vehicle Display is a fun, hands-on activity giving children (and adults, too!) the opportunity to explore and discover various vehicles like a police cruiser, fire truck, heavy machinery, airplanes, and more. Plus, you won’t want to miss the water shows by the Port of Houston Fire Boat!

Children’s Pageant

Starts at 1:00pm

Sylvan Beach Pavilion

The Children’s Pageant is by far the most adorable part of Sylvan Beach Festival! Girls and boys from Birth to 10 years of age are invited to participate in this fun event.

Children’s Pageant is limited to 80 contestants.

Cook-Off

10:00am – 11:00am

The community Cook-Off is a way for our businesses and industries in the area, as well as local cook teams, to get involved in the Sylvan Beach Festival. Judges will rate teams on their Beans, Chicken, Ribs, and Brisket.
