DJ Drew Charron

Drew Charron is a multi-instrumentalist who, due to his love of multiple genres, refuses to be pinned down to simply one. Charron’s musical background which is deeply rooted in progressive rock is evident through the intricacies of his compositions. Major elements of drums and percussion solidify his songs in a rhythmic groove, and the synth and psychedelic sounds encapsulate an otherworldly feeling around it all leading to what he has termed as ‘Prog/Psych Rhythm and Bass.’ Just as Charron’s approach to music comes from multiples angles, his lyrics explore different dichotomies in life, searching to represent opposing ideals that dance and mingle with each other on topics of emotions, depression, love, and other uniquely human complexities of life. Through placing his own unique fingerprint and infusing his energy into both his compositions and his writing, Charron seeks to evoke movement and vibrations in those who hear his music, and to challenge them to explore those dichotomies within their own lives as well.

M Power Rhythm

Under the leadership of Tripp Bratton and Leslie Stamatis, M'Power Rhythm is a youth centered non-profit providing African ensemble drumming instruction and performance opportunities to empower youth, honor culture, and build community.
