Schedule Of Events
7pm : Will You Be My Baby? Created by Alison Tarwater
Are you fit to become a baby? And how much control do we really have over our fates?
Part live competition show, part musical, Will You Be My Baby? is an absurd, irreverent, and heartfelt exploration of the world of fertility treatment told through the lens of a 35 year old woman reckoning with the impending arrival of the dreaded "fertility cliff." Audiences will follow Alison in her journey through the egg freezing process while simultaneously competing to become her future baby in the world's first BabyBachelorette competition. Who will get the final pacifier? Will Alison fulfill her maternal dreams or spend her life tending to manchildren instead? The answers, like life, will change each night.
8pm : The Thing in The Thing Created by Kelsey Trottier, Kelli Fox & Travis Fisher
This multimedia durational performance will be an interactive installation that encompasses live performance as well as layers of video performance projected into the installation and woven into the overall set and lighting design. The audience will be able to move through the installation and can choose to stay for the entirety of the duration or any amount of time. There will be prompts to help guide the audience experience. The concept of the work is driven by the notion of how art (and life experience) is interpreted by everything we've ever experienced. We will be working with ideas of reflection, projection, and self-awareness. We will embody and depict the "meta experience" and the unpacking of the "contents of the container" and exploring "the things within things."
9pm : Yacht Rock Created by Sean Mahoney
Hijinks on the high seas ensue when things go belly up on a private charter tour off the coast of Nantucket. Two not so secretly unhappy couples set sail with the aggressively unanchored crew and passions run high as they fight to survive their voyage without all soiling themselves with sea-sickness or Shrimp cocktail. Replete with an original 'yacht rock' score and a clambake of silly songs and scenes and written by TFF alums Sam Forman and local Sean Mahoney, this brand-new nautical musical comedy will rock your boat.
