Tomorrow Never Knows Fest

Various Location

Schedule of Events:

7:00PM: Exploration Live! - Color Club

The world is a confusing place, full of mysteries to be probed and questions to be answered. No worries though: hosts Charlie Bardey and Natalie Rotter-Laitman (two of Vulture Magazine's Comedians You Should and Will Know in 2023) are on it.

Together, Charlie and Natalie address some of our most (and least) pressing questions. Questions like: Is the only way out really through? Does “you’re welcome to join” mean you’re actually invited? And why is there always another itch? Come join Natalie and Charlie and explore.

7:30PM: Anna Seregina - Color Club

Anna Seregina is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, and writer originally from Russia. She was chosen as one JFL's 2023 New Faces, Time Out LA’s 2020 Comics to Watch and Vulture’s 2019 Comics to Watch. Anna has appeared on CBS, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and (unbelievably) Vanderpump Rules. She has performed at comedy festivals and notable venues across the country, including Netflix is a Joke Festival, SXSW, SF Sketchfest, New York Comedy Festival, SFMOMA, and -perhaps most importantly- the Viper Room.

We would be remiss not to touch on the subject of podcasting. Anna voiced Niya in the Kristen Wiig, Alia Shawkat, and Sebastian Silva Gimlet podcast, SANDRA. She is the co-creator and co-host of the two-season semi-scripted comedy podcast TRUTH HOUNDS for iHeartMedia alongside frequent collaborator Kyle Mizono.

“…her act is as much a symphony of sound and motion as it is quote-unquote material” - Time Out L.A.

“…incredible, Buster-Keaton-esque” - the Austin Chronicle

“In everything she does, Anna Seregina combines a bold desire for experimentation, a flourish of grace, and an undeniable sense of play.” - Vulture

8:30PM: Adeline Hotel W/ Fran & Dave Vettraino - Hideout

Adeline Hotel

In the tender, surrealist world that Knishkowy has developed under the name Adeline Hotel, stories have been told through sprawling psych-rock epics (2020’s Solid Love), stark solo guitar performances (2021’s Good Timing), piano-led orchestral song cycles (2021’s The Cherries Are Speaking), and lush, jazzy compositions that felt like a genre unto themselves (2023’s Hot Fruit). Inspired by indie lifers and fellow world-builders like Jim O’Rourke and Phil Elverum, the Ruination Records co-founder has rewritten the rule book with each new project, inviting listeners to join as he discovers new channels for his singular voice. By now the sound of Adeline Hotel is equally identifiable through Knishkowy’s dextrous fingerpicking—the aural equivalent of tracing your fingers through cool sand at sunrise—as his low, whispered vocals and autumnal melodies.

Fran

Fran is the songwriting project of Maria Jacobson. Combining the alt rock of the 90’s with folk and country influences, Fran’s music is, at its core, is about sharing a truth -–telling it, confessing it, yelling it—in the service of human connection. Her songs have been described as “coolly fluid,” (NPR) and “taut, thoughtful songs that are further sharpened by a pristine elegance” (Chicago Reader). “Leaving,’ the sophomore album from Fran, finds the band at a crossroads of loss and possibility, forged through Jacobson’s preoccupation with the climate crisis as well as newfound contemplation of the intertwined nature of theology and existence. Described as "a kaleidoscope of grounding moments, existential outbursts, and personal anecdotes underscored by Jacobson’s arresting vocals" (Uproxx) and "endlessly listenable" (Aquarium Drunkard), Leaving showcases Jacobson's apt storytelling and thoughtful, cinematic arrangements.
