We have on deck an exciting new event by TEAM 816 - EVENTS!
The Tortoise and the Hare 6 miler will start at Vine Street Brewing - take you on a 6 mile "unsanctioned" road loop finishing back at Vine Street Brewing for an awesome afterparty! But this event also has a fun twist!
Whats the twist? The run will be split into two groups - the Tortoise Group and the Hare Group:
Tortoise Group - running an average pace of 8:30 to 15:00+ (all paces are welcome)
Hare Group - running an average pace of sub 5:00 to 8:29.
The Tortoise Group will start at 7pm sharp and will work to stay in front of the Hares. The Hare Group will start 20 minutes later at 7:20pm working to catch the Tortoise Group. The two groups will overlap at the finish for some big time fun!
Course to be announced week of the event but will be 6 to 6.4 miles - not an officially measured 10k so we are calling it a 6+ miler!
This event will also be raising funds for MS Run the US - part of proceeds and all donations will go to this amazing organization dedicated to MS research and aid!
Event Schedule:
6:00pm - Packet pickup starts at Vine Street Brewing
7:00pm - Tortoise Group Starts
7:20pm - Hare Group Starts
8:00pm - Afterparty Starts (but lets cheer everyone in)
