The Town of Wellington will host its traditional Fourth of July celebration this year with the theme "Honoring Our Heritage."
The event is Wellington’s largest community gathering and will run throughout the day on Friday, July 4 — beginning with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. and ending with a fireworks show at about 9:30 p.m. The full schedule is as follows:

7 a.m. - Pancake breakfast hosted by The Wellington Filling Station (3906 Cleveland Ave.)

10 a.m. - Parade on Cleveland Avenue. This year's theme is "Honoring our Heritage." (Register athttps://app.amilia.com/store/en/wellingtoncolorado/api/Activity/Detail?activityId=xAomn52).
During the parade, artist Terry McNerney will host a meet-and-greet next to the mural he is painting on the Wellington Grill building on the northeast corner of Cleveland Avenue and 2nd Street.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Festival at Wellington Community Park. Festival offerings include:
- Inflatables
- Games
- Food & drink vendors
- Wellington Community Park amenities
- Rescue vehicle exhibit
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: A special Main Street Market in Centennial Park. The Market will include:
- Vendors (including food and drink)
- Live music featuring the Patti Fiasco and a second band to be determined
- Family-friendly activities

Organizers will announce winners and host a pin-up and greaser contest between bands on the stage in Centennial Park.
7:30 p.m. - The Wellington Community Band will play a free concert in the Eyestone South parking lot
The band will play as residents gather to watch the fireworks.
9:30 p.m. - Fireworks Show on the east side of Sixth Street, across from the Eyestone Elementary School campuses.
The Eyestone Elementary North and South fields will be available for spectators to view the show. Additionally, synchronized music is available for the show by tuning in to 97.1 FM at 9:39 p.m.
