Event distances are point-to-point 10K (6.2 miles) half-marathon (13.1 miles) and a slightly long marathon (26.6) with a shared finish line at the Gabe Zimmerman Trailhead in Vail, AZ. Start lines are south of this point along the Arizona Trail. Participants will check-in and park at Vail School District (13801 E. Benson Highway Vail, AZ 85641) and use race provided bus transportation to the start lines. Transportation is also provided from the finish line back to the event parking area.

Both events are held on Passages 6 and 7 of the Arizona Trail. There are several road crossings that will have a course marshal to help guide you across safely.

Event Schedule:

Check-in begins at 5:00 AM

Buses leave for the Marathon at 5:30 AM for a 6:15 AM start

Buses leave for the Half-Marathon at 6:30 AM for a 7 AM start

Buses leave for the 10K at 7:15 AM for a 7:30 AM start

Course closes at 2 PM

Time limit for the marathon is 7 hours, 45 minutes. Runners need to reach Sahuarita Road Aid Station by 12 p.m. at mile 20 after 5:45 hours of running.
