50th Vermilion River Fall Festival!

The Vermilion River Fall Festival is an annual tradition held at the historic Ellsworth Park on the third weekend of September. Each year, the City welcomes over 100 unique vendors, showcases live music performances, and celebrates the vibrant spirit of the community, all set against the stunning backdrop of the scenic park. While it's called the Vermilion River Fall Festival, midday temperatures can still feel like summer! Be sure to dress comfortably for warm weather during the day, and bring a few cozy fall accessories for the cooler evening hours.

This year marks the City of Danville’s marks the 50th anniversary of the Vermilion River Fall Festival, a golden milestone for one of our community’s traditions. Join us in the heart of Ellsworth Park from Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21 for a weekend packed with crisp air, cozy vibes, and great moments with friends and families.

This year’s festival brings all the autumn magic, caramel apples, painted pumpkins, and food trucks serving up everything from comfort food to bold new bites. Local makers and boutiques will be out in full force, so come ready to shop at the cutest seasonal finds, and when you’ve had your fill of eats and treats, don’t rush off. Kick back with your favorite crew on a hay bale, soak in the sunset, and stay awhile. As the stars come out, we’ll be playing a family-friendly movie under the night sky, the perfect way to wind down a perfect fall day.

To make this anniversary extra special, we’re offering tethered balloon rides on Friday and Saturday night (weather permitting) for a dreamy view of the park. Don’t miss the beer tent hosted by Fatman’s Warehouse!

Grab your flannel, rally your people, and join us in making some core memories.
