Join us for an unforgettable experience and a whole lot of fun! The Veterans Day Run presented by Eagle Mountain Casino takes place in Downtown Porterville. It features scenic routes for the 10K run, 5K run, and 5K walk with awards for top finishers. The low-cost entry fee is only $25 (price goes up 11/5/24) and includes a long-sleeved race shirt, reusable tote, and commemorative bib. Plus, there is a discounted rate of only $10 for veterans and those in active military service.

This race takes place before Porterville’s biggest parade of the year so after you finish get a front row seat for the Veterans Day festivities. Come for the race and stay for the community.

Divisions

Each individual race is scored by gender and age by the following:
Ages 0-12
Ages 13-15
Ages 16- 19
Ages 20-29
Ages 30-39
Ages 40-49
Ages 50-59
Ages 60-69
Ages 70-79
Ages 80+

Shotgun Start

The race begins promptly at 7:30 AM in front of Porterville's City Hall, 291 N. Main Street. There is a Veterans Day parade immediately following the race so you will be able to find plenty of parking on side streets only.

Gear Check

Store your things during the race at the Centennial Park Gazebo. We will provide the bag and you can use the pull tag from your bib to label your loose items.

Kid's Dash

After the shotgun start, kids can experience the excitement of crossing the finish line with our FREE kid's dash. The dash is geared for ages 8 and under and is only a couple of blocks in distance. It will take place right after participants head out on the course. There is no pre-registration required. Just report to the start/ finish line after the race starts at 7:30 AM to join in.

Prizes

The awards ceremony will start at 8:30 AM for the 5K Run, 8:45 AM for the 10K Run, and 9:00 AM for the 5k Walk. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category and prizes for the top overall male and female finisher in each event. If you can't stay to pick up your prize, visit our office at 15 E. Thurman Ave., Suite A during normal business hours.
