Celebrate the gathering of the tribes at VikingsCon with a Traditional Viking-style dinner. Dine and converse with honored guests while learning about the history of the vikings and viking culture. Feast on an assortment of cheese and bread. Enjoy traditionally prepared smoked pig, honey rosemary tarragon chicken, and served with root vegetables seasoned with natural spices. This feast is only available for Berserker VIP pass holders. The VIP Feast takes place Saturday evening from 7-8pm.
Harpist
The lovely harpist Michele Mountain joins VikingsCon! Michele has been a harpist for over 30 years; her music and vocals will enrapture and enchant, taking you back to the realms of Vikings and Valkyries.
You will find Michele playing throughout the event, during the VIP feast Saturday night, and during the traditional Viking wedding on Sunday.
Dísablót
A Dísablót is an autumnal festival which traditionally focuses on honoring the dísir (female spirits) personal guardians, warrior goddesses and Valkyries that protect our families as well as the continuation of life.
At VikingsCon, we will mix this traditional aspect with a focus on harvest and the changing of the days. We will invoke the Norse gods as offerings are given to them through rites and a ritual fire.
Attendees will have an opportunity before the ritual to write a petition that will be offered to the gods. During the blót, the petitions will be burned into the ritual fire so they may be received by the gods.
The Dísablót takes place Sunday, closing out the event, starting at 5 pm.
