The Walker County Fair showcases the hard work of local 4-H, FCCLA and FFA exhibitors. Exhibitors work year round to prepare for competition among the finest in Walker County, and all are hoping to earn the title of "Grand Champion." The Walker County Fair is dedicated to its motto "An Investment in Youth Through Community Involvement."
Schedule of Events:
9:00am - Walker County Fair Parade Rain-out (Downtown Huntsville)
9:00am - Registration for Mutton Bustin Contestants
9:00am - General Admission Begins
10:00-9:00pm - Children's Barn Yard/Petting Zoo
10:00am - Mutton Bustin Event for ages 6 & 7 then ages 4 & 5 (Awards after each age group finishes)
Noon - Opening Ceremonies & Crowning of The WCFA Fair Queen (Main Bldg.)
Noon-Midnight - Carnival Opens
2:00-3:00pm - Meat Goat Check-in (Livestock Barn)
4:30-6:45pm - Live Entertainment (Acoustic Café)-Jeff Rosenkrantz and Buford Snowden
5:30pm - Scramble Heifer Participant Check-in (Livestock Barn)
5:30-7:00pm - Chuck Wagon Cook Off & Dinner
7:00pm - 2nd Performance PRCA Rodeo
Walker County Youth Calf Scramble
8:00-11:00pm -WCFA Kick Off Dance (Main Bldg.) Tribute to George Strait with Derek Spence and Southern County Line
