Celebrate the life and times of Deadwood’s most famous gunslinger—Wild Bill Hickok at Wild Bill Days. See your favorite bands perform live concerts on Main Street all weekend long. The music moves to Main Street on Friday, June 14. Bands will be announced in early 2024. Along with the awesome free concerts, you can also check out the National Dock Dogs Competition, watch (or participate in) a classic car auction, learn the tricks of gold panning and sluicing from Northern Hills Prospectors, right on Main Street!

Mr. Wu And Friends At Mr. Wu’s Casino In Deadwood

Mr. Wu’s Casino in Deadwood is having a big event celebrating Wild Bill Days. From 1:00pm to 9:00pm there will be FREE BBQ, bottomless $10 Draft Beer, music and special guests from the HBO show, Keone Young (Mr. Wu), W. Earl Brown (Dan Dority) and Geri Jewell (Jewel) to help celebrate.

1:00pm-9:00pm – Complimentary BBQ and bottomless $10 Draft Beer.

1:00pm-9:00pm – Meet the actors for HBO's Deadwood.

2:00pm-5:00pm – FREE concert featuring Stereo Trip

6:00pm-9:00pm – FREE concert featuring Narrow Gauge "Top rated country rock band in Colorado"

Chair Setup for Main Street Stage:

Friday: From the front of the stage to Lee Street, spectators can begin putting up chairs as soon as 10 am. If the City is done setting up the dance area, they can set them up sooner. Lee St. to Deadwood St./Shine St. at 10 am.

Gold Panning & Sluicing
Learn to gold pan and sluice on Historic Main Street! Northern Hills Prospectors of Lead-Deadwood provide lessons for free, from 10am to 5pm on both Friday and Saturday, June 14 & 15. You can even pan “pay dirt” for a fee!

Wild Bill Days Collector Car & Memorabilia Auction
Classic Car Auction check-in is from noon to 5pm on Friday in Deadwood Mountain Grand’s parking garage in the lower level.

Deadwood History Programming
Friday, June 14: History on the Lawn: The Past is Present –Portrait photographer and artist Kary Janousek from Fargo, North Dakota, will touch on the historical beginnings of photography and how it affected society. Explaining briefly the process of wet plate collodion and its specific role in history from the 1850s to the late 1880s, and why it still has a place in modern society today. The demonstration will pose a sitter, creating the plate, taking the exposure, and then fixing it on site for people to see the results. Five addition sittings will be sold for $75 per sitting at 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, and 3:30 p.m.  Bring a lunch and enjoy the Historic Adams House lawn; 12:00 noon; free for members and $5 for non-members.  In case of inclement weather, the lecture will be moved to the Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center (HARCC).

Midnight Cowboy Run
Friday, June 14 at 9:30 pm: Deadwood’s 10th Annual Deadwood Midnight Cowboy Run 5K Midnight Cowboy Run is the newest, most eye dazzling, and illuminating night fun run/walk. This is an un-timed run/walk that is approximately 3 miles. Runners and walkers of all speeds and experience are welcomed. Participants start late Friday night at the edge of Historic Deadwood on the Mickelson Trial which is part of the rails to trails project in our beautiful Black Hills!

Registration along with glow attire will be at Outlaw Square from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, you are also welcome to sign up at the registration booth starting at noon on Friday, June 14 at Outlaw Square. All runners will receive a free T-shirt on the day of the race! Runners can also park at the THC shop next to where the race begins.
