The Central Vermont Memorial Civic Center opened its doors in December of 1998 after a four year campaign by local citizens and municipalities to provide a multipurpose facility for recreational use and civic events.
Since that time the Civic Center has developed into a premier venue for indoor soccer in Central Vermont, with the nearest other facility for indoor soccer located in Chittenden County. It addition, its indoor ice has been available for youth and adult hockey, broomball, public skating, and learn to skate programs. The upstairs meeting room has provided a good venue for birthday parties and other celebrations held in conjunction with recreation.
Other activities have included home shows, Indian PowWows, and the area's first Black Metal Concert. Economically designed and operated, the Civic Center is ready to adapt to anyone's needs with a particular emphasis on family and community interests.
