Conestoga is a 230-acre reservoir surrounded by 486 acres of land. The area offers power boating, picnicking, hiking and biking trails, camping and fishing. Located just two miles north of Denton in rural Lancaster County, Conestoga is a popular getaway for visitors from Lincoln and the surrounding area.

Attractions

Fishing
A rehabilitation project began in 2016 and the reservoir was drained for renovation.

Generally, bluegill, common carp, channel catfish, flathead catfish, freshwater drum, largemouth bass and walleye can be found in Conestoga Lake. Additionally, there is one fish cleaning station.

Boating
Only non-powered and electric-motor boating is permitted at Conestoga. The area offers one ramp and one dock.

Picnicking
Conestoga offers 59 picnic tables, 59 grills and two shelters.

Camping

RV camping
Conestoga offers 25 camping pads with 20-, 30- and 50-amp electrical hookups, as well as eight camping pads without electricity. Water, vault toliets and a dump station are available.

Primitive camping
Conestoga offers 24 non-pad sites without electricity. Water and vault toliets are available to campers.
