Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge Zoological Park

The ECWR Zoological Park was established in 2013 by the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education, conservation and rehabilitation for the welfare of Florida’s natural fauna. Our unique zoo serves as a sanctuary and lifelong home for native wildlife and exotic animals that have been abandoned or abused. All of our resident animals have a history, and it is our duty to share their stories so we may educate the public on conservation and inspire respect for the natural world.

The ECWR Zoological Park is one of Northwest Florida’s must-see attractions! Spanning ten acres, the zoo is home to over 130 animals of 35 different species, including tigers, lemurs, and endangered species from six continents. Located in Okaloosa County, just outside of Crestview, this tranquil zoo is a short trip from Destin and South Walton area beaches.

The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge and the ECWR Zoological Park are not-for-profit organizations made up of a caring staff and dedicated volunteers. We are supported through the generous donations of local residents and businesses. Donations made to the ECWR and the Zoological Park are tax deductible, and a copy of the 501 (c)(3) status can be made available upon request.
