Estacada Skate Park

7th Avenue and Wade Street

In 2008 the City of Estacada built its first city park, Wade Creek Park. This area was just over 4 acres consisting of the Estacada Public Library, a pond, natural viewing area, playgrounds, restrooms, parking lot and picnic pavilion. The next phase of the Wade Creek Park Plan was to develop an all skill level skate park for local youth, and other amenities for both youth and adults.

Today, the skate park covers 10,000 square feet and includes an advanced bowl and many “street skate” features, providing something for all skill levels. Other elements of Wade Creek Park Phase II are horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court and a sand play area for children. Stormwater planters and other landscaping have been integrated into the design to detain stormwater runoff and beautify the area.

A Grand Opening Celebration held on May 19, 2012 marked the completion of Phase II of Wade Creek Park. The Parks and Recreation Commissioners hosted a fun-filled day at the park complete with skate demos, BMX demos, live music, volleyball games, and a free hot dog picnic lunch. The celebration was attended by the Mayor and City Councilors, as well as over 200 community members.
