Husted’s Farm Market has been operating in the Kalamazoo area for over 55 years. It all started on West KL Avenue in Oshtemo in the garage of Glenn and Alice Husted. Glenn loved to grow fruits and vegetables and sold them out of his garage for years. His love for growing was passed on to his youngest son Scott. Today Scott and his wife Mary run the farm and the farm market.
We specialize in home grown fruits and vegetables grown here in south west Michigan. We start at the first of June with Strawberries, Asparagus and Rhubarb and end the season at the end of November with our home-grown Michigan apples and cider.
Our excellent kitchen staff creates culinary delights for you from the freshest local fruits and vegetables south west Michigan has to offer. Treats like homemade fruit pies, homemade salsas, refrigerator pickles, pickled beets, hand dipped home-grown caramel apples, fresh baked sweet breads with our home-grown fruit, donuts, apple cider slushies, homemade lemonade slushies, apple sauces, and much more!
We also offer u-pick strawberries, sweet cherries, tart cherries, peaches, and apples. We even have u-pick Honey-Crisp apples ready around the 7th of September.
Our small farm market that started in a garage back in the 1960's has grown into a passion of providing our community with the freshest home-grown fruits and vegetables.
