Krul Lake Recreation area is a nice get away near Munson, Florida.  Whether you’re camping or simply looking for a family day trip Krul lake offers a fun day of swimming, hiking, and camping.  The recreation area is on a 6.5 acre man-made lake.  The lake is refreshed from natural springs located on the north side of the lake.

In addition Krul Recreation area is the start of the Sweetwater hiking trail.  The trail runs 1.3 miles to Bear Lake.  The first part of the trail is a boardwalk which includes a suspension bridge and a gristmill.
