The Maysa Arena opened in October of 2000. The arena was built in a partnership with the Minot Area Youth Skating Association, Minot Park District, and the City of Minot. All three groups contributed money for the facility.

During the summer one rink is operated, and is the only ice in western North Dakota during the summer.
