About Us:

The City of Roseau owns and operates the 1,000 seat artificial ice Memorial Arena.  Memorial Arena was constructed in the 1940's and its wood frame arch structure provides glimse back into the rich history of hockey in Northern Minnesota. Memorial Arena has witnessed some of Minnesota's greatest hockey players including current and former Olympic and NHL stars as well as playing host to 7 State High School Championship Teams and 33 State Tournament Teams and the Stanley Cup.  In 2004, Memorial Arena underwent a significant renovation to upgrade all of the mechanical compressor systems and rink components. Memorial Arena provides full arena seating, sound system, scoreboard, locker rooms, and concessions area.

Adjacent to Memorial Arena is the Citizens Arena Improvement Association's (CAIA) North Rink.  The North Rink provides a second artificial ice rink and is operated under a joint agreement between the City of Roseau and the CAIA/Roseau Youth Hockey Association.  The North Rink provides an artificial ice rink, 14 locker rooms, scoreboards, and heated/non-heated spectator viewing areas.

Both arenas are available to the community for youth and high school hockey programs as well as public skating. A third artificial ice sheet is located in the Roseau Public School's Ram's Sports Center and is home to the Lady Ram's.  The City of Roseau, Roseau Youth Hockey and the Roseau School District maintain a joint agreement on the operation of the Ram's Sports Center for the betterment of the community for public skating and youth hockey activities.
