About Us:

Amanda and Matt Gajdzik both have a passion for agriculture. Matt is a first generation farmer, and Amanda comes from multiple generations of family farms in Shelby County. They started farming cattle together when they were dating and continued to expand after they got married. They now farm corn, soybeans, burley tobacco, hay, cattle, apple trees, peach trees, and pumpkins, all while operating the market and kitchen.

The Gajdziks planted over 3,000 apple and peach trees in early 2010 with the desire to sell quality, local produce to their surrounding communities. The orchard currently has 17 varieties of peaches and 16 of apples so everyone can find their favorites.

Apples will be harvested late June until October and peaches will be available July until August.  There are also a variety of berries and fresh vegetables available throughout the season.

Make a quick trip for some juicy peaches or come out to the farm for the day and take a hayride through the orchard, visit with our animals, play in the kids area, shop in the market, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery from a rocking chair.  Don’t forget join us in the fall too in order to pick your pumpkins and have an adventure in our corn maze during one of our many fall festivals.

Many children, and adults alike, are more detached from agriculture than ever before.  Matt and Amanda hope not only to provide fresh produce to customers, but also to give the community an  opportunity to see the crops growing, to learn about life on our farm, and to experience where your food comes from.  They hope that the orchard brings enjoyment and education to everyone.

Matt and Amanda look forward to seeing the trees in the orchard grow and mature, just as they look forward to watching their family do the same.
