The Oak Valley Trail is the first pedestrian trail leg in the city’s planned trail system. The concrete trail’s length is 2.4 miles tip to tip and is 10 feet in width and has two trail heads with one at the corner of Rigney Way and Scott Street in Burleson’s Old Town District, and the other located at the Oak Valley Park North. The trail is the result of a grant from the Department of Transportation and was created to provide east - west pedestrian access across Burleson and under the I-35 Freeway. The trail also crosses a retained nature habitat in which nature hikes are provided by the Rio Brazos Master Naturalists
