About:

26 Years and Thousands of Pumpkins!

The Pumpkin Festival is a two-day event held every October at the AGRIscapes Agricultural Outreach Center at Cal Poly Pomona.

For 26 years the festival has grown to become a very popular event, drawing thousands of visitors to pick pumpkins from a patch near the Farm Store. The Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture grows 40,000 pumpkins for the event.

The festival also features a Corn Maze that is specially grown for the occasion, Pony Rides, and a Petting Farm. Visitors can compete and play games run by student clubs or listen to live music. Food and drinks are available to purchase from vendors.

Since 2015 the Festival has celebrated California agriculture with "Ag Discovery Lane," a large area with free exhibits, displays and demonstration from agriculture related organizations. This year one of the highlights will be Cow Milking Demonstrations.

The popular Insect Fair returns to the Pumpkin Festival with 500,000 live and preserved insects from around the world. An additional entrance fee applies.
