Schellin Park


Schellin is located on Maple Street between Freedlander and Henry Streets. The park is home to two softball fields, a picnic pavilion, public restrooms, child play area, gabion lined stream and pond. This makes Schellin Park an ideal place to play some ball with your college friends. Or perhaps you would like to check out the Wooster Skate Park on the South side of Schellin.

Park Amenities:

Pavilion- May be reserved from April Ist-October 31st

Restrooms- Open Dawn till Dusk-located between the playground and softball fields

Creek- Located close to the tree line west of the dog park

Grills-1 in the park

Playground- 5,810 sq. ft. Includes 4 baby swings, 2 swings, monkey bars, 5 slides, 2 rock climbing walls, mulched playgrounds, Handicap accessibility in 2 locations.
Drinking Fountain-1 located by the softball fields

Legacy Memorial- Located close to the pond this memorial was set in place during the Wooster's Bicentennial celebrations in 2008. This project honors both the history and the future of Wooster.

Fishing Pond- Located by the skate park Individuals permitted to fish in City Ponds include - Persons 17 & under, Persons 60 & older, Adults 18-59 (who possess a valid state fishing license) assisting children ONLY.

Softball Fields- 2 Softball fields in the park

Basketball Court-1 full or 2 half courts located in the park

Skate Park- 2,214 sq. ft. open Dawn till Dusk

Dog Park- Fenced in open space open Dawn to Dusk
