The Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center opened in the fall of 2002. The mission of the Center is to interpret the natural, cultural and archaeological history of the Preserve in order to demonstrate how the environment and people support and shape each other.
Weedon Island Preserve is open to the public from dusk to dawn seven days a week and offers many outdoor activities including Bird and Wildlife viewing from the observation tower, Canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking and picnicking.
