About Us:

Steve Frey purchased the land that would become Weston Red Barn Farm in 1989. This was the realization of a 10-year dream for Steve, as he had vivid memories of visits to his uncle's farm in Missouri as a child and wanted to recreate that experience for others.

He restored the old buildings on the farm and built new ones, using old materials. He also planted an orchard full of apple trees for picking. In 1990, Weston Red Barn Farm opened for business.

Today, Steve and his wife Cindy own and operate the farm. They have two children, Donovan and Amy, and three grandchildren, Isabella, Addison, and Amelia.

Their mission has been to provide an educational experience for children and a place for families to enjoy an authentic farm setting in a safe, peaceful and noncommercial environment.

In 2012, over 12,000 children visited the farm with their classmates and thousands of families came to purchase peaches, apples, corn and pumpkins. We hope that you will bring your family to our farm and enjoy "a day at the farm for learning and fun!"

Apples
You-pick season begins at the end of August. Our apple trees have not been sprayed with pesticides or chemical fertilizers in over 4 years, so our apples will look like the apples in your great grandmother's kitchen. Due to the large demand for this activity, we are usually done picking by the second week in September. We do sell pre-picked apples in our country store throughout the fall, and offer many varieties to choose from.

Pumpkins
Hop on a hayride for a trip to the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin. Our you-pick field opens around Labor Day, giving you and your family the chance to search for that perfect pumpkin. The you-pick field is only open on weekends and is weather permitting.
